VISUAL ENTERTAINMENT DESIGN

The programme focuses on development of individual creative expression using experimental and innovative animation techniques.

Today’s concept artists play a very important role in shaping the outcome of a story. It is vital that a story is translated into a visual experience through its characters, environments and props designed by the artist.

Visual Entertainment Design (VED) is a 3 year program designed to bring out the creative best of 2D animation, 3D animation, compositing and visual effects in a student. This intense program is developed with the current industry requirements in mind and caters to all realms from the concept design to the film industry. The program consists of lectures, class room demos, assignments, activities and plenty of lab time, in an effort to support the project-based curriculum, modelled after real time industry environments.

The curriculum is upgraded every year to ensure that students get industry relevant training and exposure. The teaching and training methods are focused not only in the animation techniques but also the conception and realization of ideas in global context. The outcome of the program is to produce students who can be absorbed into a range of industries such as concept design, comic book design, Industrial design, content design, film, television, cartoon and visual effects.

Duration: 3 years/ 6 semesters
