Jain Animation School kick started the 69th Indian Independence week celebration on 13th August 2016.

This year’s art installation saw the students come together to create a 24 foot replica of INS Vikrant R11, the Indian Naval Warship. As is customary every year, a gallery of student artworks was also exhibited. The students were dressed in ethnic wear and joined in the fun and activities.

The warship was assembled in the 3rd floor quadrangle amidst a 30 foot wide map of India decorated with rangoli powder and flowers. Around 25 students worked with the faculty for approximately 40 days to accomplish this incredible feat.

The students also presented a video featuring “the making of INS Vikrant replica”. This was followed by another song recital from the 3rd semester students accompanied to the tune of light guitar music
